Into The Water

Into the Water

To watch the waves kiss the shore,
And hear the waters break and roar,
Slow is their rhythm, deep be their rhyme,
And sweet be their songs of lullabies,
Listen carefully and you will hear,
The voice of the waters calling to you,
Ask them a question and you shall be,
Given the answer in riddle and seed,
Listen not to ocean waves,
Their thunderous voice may lead you astray,
Into the murky waters you'll tread,
The currents below may want you dead,
Pulled away by the undertow,
No longer can you decide, where to go,
Though not always will they lie to you,
Their powers are great, and unmatched they be,
They'll cure; they'll calm, and comfort thee,
Look to the pond when it is still,
For it is waiting for a meal,
Feed it a stone and you shall learn,
Watch the ripples they'll guide you true,
And those shall always show you truth,
So when in need seek the waters calm,
For it is always abundant with love.

Wade R. Wilson.
