Sleeping
"Rest tight in your bed, I pray no evil dreams, dance in your head."

Sleeping

Amidst the warm cotton sheets,
Rests your head, to tired to see,
Dreams of creatures dance through your head,
Through a forest, of crystal trees,
Only at night are you truly in peace,
Love and heartache not hand in hand,
Amidst your special dream land,
Only the sound of the crickets is heard,
As the stars above, shush the birds,
Soft and sweet your heart shall beat,
Though comfort is not always to be found in bed,
Visions of horror can fill one's head,
Daemons and creatures, the eye cannot see,
Can creep through your thoughts and soon you will be,
Unable to sleep alone, in your bed,
Lay down your shield, and open your eyes,
For I am here to give lullabies,
The urge to run is strong, I know,
For at night is where all creatures roam,
Good and bad, intentions confused, for black can hide motives, even from you.
